| The spectacular
success of Rías Baixas' fragrant,
fruity white wines within a decade
of winning DO status in 1988 gave
Galician winemaking a new spirit of
optimism. The area now produces some
of Spain’s most sought-after white
wines. Named after the flooded
coastal valleys, or rías, that lead
inland from the Atlantic, the zone’s
reputation is based on the white
Albariño grape, which has earned
cult status in Spain. |

Viña Bade is located in the heart of the green rolling hills of
Galicia. They have over 40 years of winemaking experience and now make wines
from several of their different wineries throughout the region. Their Rías
Baixas is a wonderful example of why Albariño is currently experiencing such
demand ~ pure, clean aromas, fresh flavors, elegance in the glass ~ while still
representing a great value. |
